• This is the fire starter that ZEN Camps took more than a year to develop. A ferrocerium rod with perfect firmness and shape. A striker that is well made for the maximization of sparks. These 2 components have been implemented into our product to achieve a new level of ignition power. Totally recommended for those who had difficulties using other fire starters and/or beginners. This is a Must-Have item for bush craft!
• 【Special Features of the Ferrocerium Rod】We prepared this extra thick rod made out of ferrocerium, which is superior to magnesium for ignition. You can create hot sparks that are about 3,000℃. We used Pure-X, our original blend of materials, which makes our ferro rod the perfect firmness to provide many sparks to start the fire. ・In order to make sparks, amount of scrapes from the rod and instant frictional heat caused by the striker are two important things.
• 【Special Feature of Striker】・In order to obtain firm scrapes from the ferro rod and have good friction, we made numerous experiments to create the best firmness and sharpness of the edge for this striker. As the result, this became quite a powerful flint that can generate big sparks. Press the side of the striker that has the “R” logo to the rod, strike the striker with a flick of the wrist. *Design right pending for the shape of the striker.
